Lets see. Hmm, Passion Pit, yes, Passion Pit. This is a band that i see big things for. Coming from Boston Massachusetts, Passion Pit is an Electric Alternative Dance-till-your-sweaty band. I cant say much about them because they basically speak for themselves. Most of you already know of Passion Pit, so here is one of their remixes. Hope you enjoy!

This strange and eerie short film was created by Arqaluarta Rosing and Lorenzo Sportiello. Both Directors collaborated to make this work of art. It was created to show the rapid effects of the climate change in the arctic. All together it is a beautiful display of light and strange camera angles that really captures a unique effect and brings you into its own world. It really opens your mind to the possibilities of photography and video. I hope you enjoy.
Hello! So this is a trailer to a movie called "Finisterrae", it is a tale of two ghosts' pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. In the movie, the two ghosts must overcome obstacles and mother nature. Keep a look out for this movie in a few weeks. It seems quite interesting. It will be shown at Sonar's 2010 Festival.

Chromeo is a band i really enjoy. I mean how can you not like them? Their music is genuine and so sweet to listen too. And with a bio page that reads "Chromeo is slick. Chromeo is dripping with reverb. Chromeo is Moog riffs, luxurious harmonies, macho guitar solos and real-deal songcraft. From the dancefloor-ready singles “Fancy Footwork” and “Tenderoni,” to the autobiographical Jew-boy ballad “Momma's Boy,” to the epic sax-laden album closer “100%,” Fancy Footwork rolls you through a sleek, melodic world where all you need to worry about is whether you’ve got your sunglasses on and the right moves to keep up. Remember the debate when Chromeo first came on the scene? The endless back and forth about whether those boys were joking or not? Well, Fancy Footwork will put any vestigial haters to sleep forever. There ain’t nothing “ironical” about this music. It’s Hall & Oates riding on 22’s, busting shots in the air with Quincy Jones driving. That shit ain’t funny." - How can you not like them? Anywhoozle, I decided to dedicate a post to Chromeo due to the new songs i found and old video i stumbled upon while cleaning through my myspace.
So, I was looking up bands, and lurking on myspace and hype machine. And on Futurecop!'s website I saw album art that I saw a long time ago. Approximately 3.4 seconds went by before I freaked out. Flashworx! It hit me like a ton of bricks. How i found them is when they made their remix of Futurecop!'s Karate Kids. Anthony Hammer & Mike Arthur Le Trèfle, Flashworx, make a deadly duo. I can see them blowing up big this year. Keep a look out cause these guys are awesome.

CFCF is an artist i enjoy. His remixes take you back to the times of Sega Genesis and neon colors. A pivotal time in music. Many people are on the fence about this artist and some don't know of him at all. I find him quite inventive. A cross between Futurecop! and Flashworx, CFCF is a creative mastermind. Hes done remixes for Justice, Fan Death, Crystal Castles and Health.I See big things for CFCF in 2010, especially with the recent release of his new album Continent.
So I have a question. Um whats with Van She making awesome remixes? With their most recent remix of Dragonette's Pick Up The Phone I think I must add Van She to my 'Favorite Bands' list.
On Friday February 12th, we celebrated Ed Banger's 7th birthday at Terminal 5 in New York City. A night not to forget. The night was filled with DJ's from the Ed Banger crew. The night Started off with Breakbot Working the decks with his vintage sounds that would make a club head from the soul era cry. Following Breakbot, was the amazing Dj-Mehdi. Born in the hip-hop days, Dj-Mehdi creates an atmosphere like no other. Especially with his new Red Black and Blue album. After the crowd was just about to wipe the sweat off themselves, a special guest joined us in celebrating Ed Banger's birthday bash. A surprise appearance by Dj A-Trak The crowd was devastated and taken back by his raw talent. As A-Trak began to pack up his records the crowd was gasping for air... Suddenly the lights go out and everyone jumps and the sweet sound of Uffie's voice spews out of the speakers and into the ears of rambunctious teenage crowd. Everyone looses their composure and begins to freak out as Feadz puts the first record on. After the dangerous duo finished their duet, Feadz is up bringing us sweet sounds from all corners of the world. The crowd was drenched now. Then everyone goes wild, the man of the hour. The birthday boy himself walks on stage and the crowd begins to scream "BUSY-P WHAT THE FUCK!" It feels like the night JUST started again and the crowd is going berserk. Weird sounds that you've never heard before coming from all angles comforts you and compels you to dance with a stranger. You are having such a great time you don't even realize that over 45 minutes go by and its time for the final act. The crowd slowly begins to chant "Justice!". New York Excuse is playing in the background as we await the first song. Mayhem breaks out when Phantom Pt II goes on. Sheer and utter chaos commences and everyone begins to dance. And so it was seven. Seven people and damage of over 700.
