Ello everyone. Or should I say no one? Hmm. Wonder if anyone ever reads this stuff. Well, I went to a few more events since the last post. I'm sorry my kiddies I've just been too busy for you. This makes me sad.

Dramatic pause.

ANYWHO, last 2 shows I went to was Hot Chip in Central Park, and MGMT at Radio City Music Hall. Both spectacular shows. Hot Chip did not hold back even though the lead singer was abset due to his wife's pregnancy. I think Alexis said it was a girl. Congrats mate. Prior to Hot Chip was Hercules & Love Affair. And must I even say how amazing they were?! Dear lord they brought the fire with live vougers and a few lead singers remixing their own songs and singing over others. A+ work! Before they rocked us we saw Holy Ghost. I was shocked to see a band, I was under the impression that the funky beats and deep synths in all their remixes was from some basement dj with massive amounts of talent. But no! A full band. Explains everything. They were nothing short of spectacular. Absolutely great! A few weeks later (today) I saw MGMT at the Radio City Music Hall. Much credit to the young yet fruitful band. They have really grown into their own with their new album Congratulations (which can be found on their website, amazon AND iTunes, great driving music, jogging, and drawing music). Very new age strong rooted phycedelic. Very "groovy" as they would say back in the mid 60's a early 70's. Much potenial and aledgedly they are writing a new album in early 2011. Keep an eye out for all the bands I just mentioned on my flickr and my youtube oh and of course their myspaces and ITUNES. I am extremely tired and I am currently dozing off as I type this, soooo goodnight to all and to all a goodnight.

Hello all! So, shortly after that dreadful post I published earlier, the headliner for tonights performance was going on, Deadmau5. Well let me say ladies and gentlemen. My perspective of the mysterious man named Deadmau5 has changed. (For the better!) Deadmau5 was nothing shorter then magnificent live! Great set, visual effects were great and te mixing was out of this world! I took video and pictures of the night check my flickr, YouTube and Twitter for more updates on the show and future shows!

Ok, so I'm at this deadmau5 concert and I got here at 7:30 and the opening act is on. They play do their thing, dj-ing it up and stuff... It is now 10:26 and they haven't stopped yet... The name of the group is called play-loop dj's.... I totally see why they are called play loop. Cause their shitty se never ends, it's just in a loop of crap electro dance music. Deadmau5 doesn't go on till midnight and I swear im going to kill someone. Till later, this is laz. Stuck In a dull loop of shit music... Fuck.

Inside the electric factory in Philadelphia, someone is warming up, don't know who at the moment, never been to this venue and I'm not the biggest deadmau5 fan so the genre is still new to me. Will post more later.

Maj-maj-major Lazer!

Diplo & Switch, you guys did it again! I absolutely love it. Can't wait for you to drop a new album. For those unfamiliar with major lazer, it is an unstoppable team of 2 producers/dj's. Diplo & Switch. This deadly combo brings us cultured vibes from Jamaica and other musically sound countries. They have so much raw talent and I have my sights set on them for 2010-2011. For now pick up their new EP - Lazers Never Die on i-tunes!

Rubber - Mr. Oizo & Gaspard Auge

Hello folks! So recently the album "Rubber" dropped on the Ed Banger Records label, and boy is it good, it's a 4 track EP featuring a colaboration effort from two of Ed Banger's greatest. Mr. Oizo, a mysterious man of odd noises, strange vibes and funky beats and Gaspard Auge from the lethal duo that we all love, Justice. His rythmic notes is synthetic poetry. I highly reccomend.

Helllllllo! Long time no talk. This makes me sad. I miss all you fans so much. Bad news. I still don't have a computer. I am still using my iPhone to blog. What a hipster lol. So the most recent things happening in my life is that I've been getting up more and more now. Tagging, sticker ups and installs, ya know. I've been trying to do more cause sticker trades is not enough and since I am turning 17 this week, I will be getting my license (hopefully). Well folks enough about my life more about my adventures, what's the difference laz? THERE IS NONE! Ha. So I went to an art show recently, hence the picture above. It was the the thought processor show in NYC. It was at the imfamous My Plastic Heart store. Great show. Awesome art too. I was able to meet Chris from Robots Will Kill again. Chill dude. I also picked up a few toys from the toy section of the gallery. All in all had a great day in NYC, found a new desert shop and the waitress there was really cute. If you ever read this, I'm the nerdy Cuban boy who always orders the black and white cookie :)

Oh and I just purchased tickets to see Crystal Castles in august. Expect new video of that and MGMT and Passion Pit, and perhaps rusko. Not sure if I'm going to that event in Philly but I'll let you know.

That's all folks! Love you all very much. And stay tuned for a new fairtilizer playlist!

Bamboozle

Hello ladies and gents, I'm back. Recently I went to a concert named Bamboozle. It was at the Meadowlands in NJ. It was a two day concert. However, I went to the second day. Long day, a long day indeed. Long yet extremely fun. Many many artists. Alot that I didn't like but then again I don't like that genre of music, that Christian rock scremo stuff, not my style. However, I did see MGMT, Girl Talk, Matt & Kim, Ok Go, and a few more. Everyone was great, Matt & Kim put on an amazing show, they really went hard. Girl Talk was even better, possible the best part of the night, hw rocked the crowd. Eveyone was dancing, even the handicapped. After Girl Talk there was MGMT. they really were great. They put on an amazing show. They played a combo of their old songs and new. After MGMT, I left cause I was exhausted. But when I was there I met Chris from Robots Will Kill. Cool dude, got alot of gear from him. The photo below isn't mine but if you didn't know who he was, this is his character.

So that's all folks I gotta go, English class is over and I don't have any service anywhere in this school. I'll post video of the day later. Got some awesome stuff this time. Cheers!

Home Bound

Hot Chip was amazing, really gave us a run for our money tonight. On my way home, debating on whether or not of uploading tonight or tomorrow. Might just make y'all wait :). Well that's all folks for now, on my way home. Peace and love y'all!

- With love,
Laz

P.S. written on my iPhone.
Gang Gang Dance just finnished their set, decent. I wouldn't pay money to go see them again but if they were opening for another band just as tonight, I'd see them again. For those of you who don't know GGD is like 2 floors above what elevator music sounds like, some parts were good but too many effects and echos and weird synth noises. You also couldn't hear what the lead singer was saying. Very strange. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Laz

Hot Chip

Waiting for Hot Chip to start, sold out of my favorite shirts on sale at the merch stand :(, can't wait. This is gonna be amazing, will post more later, peace!

MAJOR LAZER

MAJOR LAZER

PSHEW! It has been a while. Bad news boys and girls, computer broke down. So yeah, haven't posted anything new in a while. But I kinda have a solution, use my mom's computer? Yah I haz toooo. Well the last MAJOR thing in my life was HARD NYC. Intense concert. Destucto lived up to his name and destroyed the crowed. Leaving us all warmed up and somewhat sweaty, destructo walked off the stage as he threw free shirts to some lucky concert go-ers. Up next was Proxy, debuting for his first time in the United States. And boy did he dj. So many weird noises and deep vibes of bass, make a young teenage girl wanna scream. Ha. As he began to wrap up the night, the crowd became impatient for the 2 headliners, Major Lazer and Boys Noize. Up next, was Buraka Som Sistema. Bringing us the clash between brazillian music and house techno. With the two hype men on stage dancing about, it kinda was too much. I felt like i was at a rap concert with overbearing drunk assholes on stage. Whatever, they played good music and had some sexy ass dancers up there makin shit clap up there. But their time came to an end, and up was one of the MAJOR key points of the night. MAJOR LAZER. The lights whent out as Diplo went on stage and the chant began. MA-JOR... LAZ-ER. MA-JOR... LAZ-ER. MAJOR... LAZER. MAJOR..LAZER. MAJOR..LAZER. MAJOR.LAZER. MAJOR.LAZER. MAJOR LAZER. MAJORLAZER. MAJORLAZERMAJORLAZERMAJORLAZERMAJORLAZERMAJORLAZERMAJORLAZER!! M A J O R L A Z E R! BOOM! out with two chineese dragons, a bootylicious military hype girl and Skerrit Bwoy. Everyone lost it once the reccord dropped and the rest was a blur i barely could remember but i did record video from the night, half is on youtube as of Sunday April 5th, 2010. The rest should be up shortly. ANYWHO, Up next was Boys Noize. The mysterious mayhem maker struk again at Terminal 5, with a tribute to MJ and many new and unreleased tracks. The night ended well and not many complaints about this concert. I can now cross off HARD NYC off my list of concerts and many more artists off the Bands I Must See Before I Die.

Check my YouTube for more videos of the night : http://www.youtube.com/user/G3AK09

New song by Minitel Rose. Expected to be on their new album, Snake Girl, was released earlier today. Minitel Rose is a French band. Not well known, as of yet. But their popularity is rising significantly. This band has ALOT of potential and I hope to see them live one day. Anywho, Snake Girl, just as most of Minitel Rose's songs, it is smooth with not alot of unwanted noise. Definitely a good song to add to a daily play list. They say that this is just the instrumental version but i like it as so. I think adding vocals would do nothing but damage the quality of the song. We shall see more from Minitel Rose soon, i hope, but for now you can either snag the mp3 from my fairtilizer or from the link below.

So i hope this isn't a practical joke. I was perusing some blogs and on Nashville Nights i saw this post about Devo. Its a bit self explanatory.

"As the results of the official online Color Study continuing to pour in, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your participation. Green has been an unexpected favorite, though red is still a strong classic candidate. We urge you to involve your friends and significant others throughout the remainder of the test." - Greg Scholl, COO of DEVO Inc.

Devo Color Study Website

The album is apparently supposed to drop in may of this year. Keep an eye out kids, May is around the corner. I am happy to introduce Devo's new single to you guys and gals. Hope you enjoy!

Devo - Fresh

Remix after remix of Tiga's famous What You Need single, we have another to add to the list. The link below is to the exclusive Chromeo remix of this oh so popular Tiga track. Enjoy and watch for the release of Tiga's Ciao!

Lets see. Hmm, Passion Pit, yes, Passion Pit. This is a band that i see big things for. Coming from Boston Massachusetts, Passion Pit is an Electric Alternative Dance-till-your-sweaty band. I cant say much about them because they basically speak for themselves. Most of you already know of Passion Pit, so here is one of their remixes. Hope you enjoy!

CARTE BLANCHE! The baby of DJ Mehdi and RITON is the sweet sound of CARTE BLANCHE. They paired up together in 2009 and haven't looked back since. The funky couple is on a mission to bring back the House Music and Hip-Hop Sound. All throughout the months of May and June of 2010, they will be touring together, hitting up all major cities in Europe and North America. You can snag the track here, or visit my fairtilizer and download it there. PEACE!

This strange and eerie short film was created by Arqaluarta Rosing and Lorenzo Sportiello. Both Directors collaborated to make this work of art. It was created to show the rapid effects of the climate change in the arctic. All together it is a beautiful display of light and strange camera angles that really captures a unique effect and brings you into its own world. It really opens your mind to the possibilities of photography and video. I hope you enjoy.

Finisterrae - trailer from Sónar on Vimeo.

Hello! So this is a trailer to a movie called "Finisterrae", it is a tale of two ghosts' pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. In the movie, the two ghosts must overcome obstacles and mother nature. Keep a look out for this movie in a few weeks. It seems quite interesting. It will be shown at Sonar's 2010 Festival.

Chromeo is a band i really enjoy. I mean how can you not like them? Their music is genuine and so sweet to listen too. And with a bio page that reads "Chromeo is slick. Chromeo is dripping with reverb. Chromeo is Moog riffs, luxurious harmonies, macho guitar solos and real-deal songcraft. From the dancefloor-ready singles “Fancy Footwork” and “Tenderoni,” to the autobiographical Jew-boy ballad “Momma's Boy,” to the epic sax-laden album closer “100%,” Fancy Footwork rolls you through a sleek, melodic world where all you need to worry about is whether you’ve got your sunglasses on and the right moves to keep up. Remember the debate when Chromeo first came on the scene? The endless back and forth about whether those boys were joking or not? Well, Fancy Footwork will put any vestigial haters to sleep forever. There ain’t nothing “ironical” about this music. It’s Hall & Oates riding on 22’s, busting shots in the air with Quincy Jones driving. That shit ain’t funny." - How can you not like them? Anywhoozle, I decided to dedicate a post to Chromeo due to the new songs i found and old video i stumbled upon while cleaning through my myspace.

Fonky-M - Call me secret lover (Chromeo Vs Private + Lifelike)

Chromeo - Night By Night (Skream Remix)

So, I was looking up bands, and lurking on myspace and hype machine. And on Futurecop!'s website I saw album art that I saw a long time ago. Approximately 3.4 seconds went by before I freaked out. Flashworx! It hit me like a ton of bricks. How i found them is when they made their remix of Futurecop!'s Karate Kids. Anthony Hammer & Mike Arthur Le Trèfle, Flashworx, make a deadly duo. I can see them blowing up big this year. Keep a look out cause these guys are awesome.

Bombay Bicycle Club - Always Like This

CFCF is an artist i enjoy. His remixes take you back to the times of Sega Genesis and neon colors. A pivotal time in music. Many people are on the fence about this artist and some don't know of him at all. I find him quite inventive. A cross between Futurecop! and Flashworx, CFCF is a creative mastermind. Hes done remixes for Justice, Fan Death, Crystal Castles and Health.I See big things for CFCF in 2010, especially with the recent release of his new album Continent.

Van She

So I have a question. Um whats with Van She making awesome remixes? With their most recent remix of Dragonette's Pick Up The Phone I think I must add Van She to my 'Favorite Bands' list.

Pick Up The Phone (Michael Van She Remix)

Happy Birthday Ed Banger, Happy Bithday To You!

On Friday February 12th, we celebrated Ed Banger's 7th birthday at Terminal 5 in New York City. A night not to forget. The night was filled with DJ's from the Ed Banger crew. The night Started off with Breakbot Working the decks with his vintage sounds that would make a club head from the soul era cry. Following Breakbot, was the amazing Dj-Mehdi. Born in the hip-hop days, Dj-Mehdi creates an atmosphere like no other. Especially with his new Red Black and Blue album. After the crowd was just about to wipe the sweat off themselves, a special guest joined us in celebrating Ed Banger's birthday bash. A surprise appearance by Dj A-Trak The crowd was devastated and taken back by his raw talent. As A-Trak began to pack up his records the crowd was gasping for air... Suddenly the lights go out and everyone jumps and the sweet sound of Uffie's voice spews out of the speakers and into the ears of rambunctious teenage crowd. Everyone looses their composure and begins to freak out as Feadz puts the first record on. After the dangerous duo finished their duet, Feadz is up bringing us sweet sounds from all corners of the world. The crowd was drenched now. Then everyone goes wild, the man of the hour. The birthday boy himself walks on stage and the crowd begins to scream "BUSY-P WHAT THE FUCK!" It feels like the night JUST started again and the crowd is going berserk. Weird sounds that you've never heard before coming from all angles comforts you and compels you to dance with a stranger. You are having such a great time you don't even realize that over 45 minutes go by and its time for the final act. The crowd slowly begins to chant "Justice!". New York Excuse is playing in the background as we await the first song. Mayhem breaks out when Phantom Pt II goes on. Sheer and utter chaos commences and everyone begins to dance. And so it was seven. Seven people and damage of over 700.

Et Justice Pour Tous!
